McMurran, John T., 1801-1866.
John T. McMurran was a lawyer and state senator of Natchez, Mississippi. William B. Griffith was McMurran's law partner and brother-in-law. A relative, William Edward T. Griffith, was a student at Oakland College, Mississippi. McMurran was married to Mary Louisa Turner McMurran, whose family owned the Melrose Plantation near Natchez, Mississippi.
