Joint Committee of the Religious Society of Friends for Montgomery and Bucks County.
The Joint Committee was originally established by the Abington Quarterly Meetings in 1939 for "extension work in Montgomery County." Representatives from Bucks Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) joined them in 1943. The committee was active in encouraging the revival of meetings where "life was lagging," worked to re-open closed meetings, and, by implication, laid the ground work for united quarterly meetings.
