Duperrey, Louis-Isidore, 1786-1865
Variant namesPhysicist and naval officer. Duperrey accompanied de Freycinet on the "Uranie" around the world to study meteorology and terrestrial magnetism 1817-1820. He commanded the "Coquille" on an expedition to Oceania and South America 1822-1825.
