The Administrative Committee of the Women's Missionary Society/United Lutheran Church Women (WMS/ULCW) comprised members from the Executive Board. It met between Executive Board meetings and acted in its place if needed. At its inception in 1918, it had seven members, including the President and Recording Secretary. Over the years that number changed several times, fluctuating from nine, to seven, and then eight. Most years, except for its early years, it always included all Executive Board officers. Over the years, its duties included granting orders for salaries and bills due for payment, considering matters brought by various church boards and requiring immediate attention, and considering new work possibilities to present for consideration by the Executive Board. It was also responsible for preparation of the WMS/ULCW annual budget and was vested with the authority to make appropriations within the budget when a decision could not be postponed until the next Executive Board meeting.
