Raymond, William C., 1808-1873.
William C. Raymond was born March 7, 1808, and July 11, 1837 married Sarah Aspinwall Southworth. He settled in Elba, N. Y. in October, 1831 and began a mercantile business on Main Street. W. C. Raymond & Co. accounts exist in the 1850's and Raymond & Southworth during the 1860's. He had 8 children, two of whom succeeded their father in business. William C. died June 7, 1873. William C.'s father William was born 1779 and died May 15, 1847.
