Harry Bowman Moses (1898-1974), from Burnet County, Texas, and the son of lawyer and Burnet County District Attorney Dayton Moses, enlisted in the U.S. Air Corps in 1917 while a student at Texas A&M College. Attending the First Officers Training Camp at Camp Bullis in Leon Springs, Texas, Moses received ground training in Austin, Texas and flight training in Italy and France. He completed his training in November 1918, two days after the end of World War I, and remained in the Air Corps and served at Kelly Field in San Antonio before resigning in June 1920.

Dayton Moses (1873-1943), from Burnet County, Texas, was a lawyer and District Attorney for Burnet County from 1898 to 1916. That year, he began a law practice in Fort Worth, Texas.
