Emily Lofland Roberson (1857-1943) married Joseph S. Roberson (1839-1888) in St. Louis, Missouri in 1878. He was an agent for the Overland Stage Line and for Wells Fargo & Company and wrote History of Wells, Fargo & Co. and the Pony Express (1879).

William O. Lofland (born 1824) was a veteran of the Mexican American War and served the city of Memphis as an alderman from 1857 to 1860, as comptroller during the American Civil War, and as mayor from July 1866 to January 1868.
