First Baptist Church of Christ (Dover, N.Y.)
The First Baptist Church, Dover, N.Y., was organized in 1757 and is the oldest church in the town of Dover (known as Pawlingstown) during the eighteenth century). Its first minister was Samuel Waldo (1731-1793), and the first meetinghouse was built in 1759.
