Gamage, John
Variant namesKent graduated from Yale in 1781 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1785. He practiced law in Poughkeepsie (1785-1793) and in New York City from 1793. He served as Judge of the New York Supreme Court (1798-1814) and as Chancellor of the New York Court of Chancery (1814-1823.)
