Woodward's Garden (San Francisco, Calif.)
Robert Blum Woodward arrived in San Francisco in 1849; opening business as a merchant. Build home on corner of Mission and 14th, which in 1866 opened to public as Woodward's Garden. Consisted of art gallery, gardens and zoo. Upon his death in 1879, estate was inherited by his wife, Mary, and four children, Sarah B., Mary C., Helen J. and Robert B.
