Ben Bezoff was born in Denver, Colo. in 1914 to Russian immigrant parents. In the 1930's after graduating from North High School, Bezoff studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. before attending the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis. to study drama. He subsequently performed on Broadway before returning to Denver in 1935. Over the next twenty years, Bezoff worked as a radio announcer, head of the news department and performed in local soap operas on a number of local radio stations: KOA, KLZ and MKYR. In 1947, he opened Ben Bezoff and Company, an advertising and public relations agency. Following a successful campaign for Colorado State Representative, he served in the Colorado General Assembly (1947-1955), as Director of Information at Denver's Stapleton International Airport (1966-1971) and as Executive Officer to Denver mayor W.H. McNichols, Jr. (1971-1976). He also returned to radio to host the popular program, "Concert" on radio station KDEN during the 1950's and 1960's. Bezoff died in Denver, Colo. in 1979.
