Haley, Martin, 1905-1980
Variant namesMarin Haley was a Catholic writer, poet and critic. He was a school teacher at New Farm State School from 1945 until his retirement in 1970. Paul Grano (1894-1975) and Martin Haley were both Brisbane poets.

Martin Nelson Haley, born in Brisbane, was a poet, essayist, translator and school teacher. He participated in the Catholic Readers' & Writers' Society from its foundation and was a president and editor of its journal "Vista".
