[Medical Society of New Haven County]. Committee of Correspondence.
The Medical Society of New Haven County, Conn., was established on 5 Jan. 1784 to promote professional intercourse and regulate fees. A Committee of Correspondence was formed later in 1784. The society published a volume of its cases in 1788. After the formation of the Connecticut Medical Society in 1792, the New Haven society met irregularly. Most of its work was carried on by a local section of the state society. In 1798, all the society's property was transferred to the Connecticut Medical Society.
