Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. Alpha Zeta Chapter (Pennsylvania State University)
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia originated as early as 1898 at the New England Conservatory in Boston to enhance the social and moral life of the young male students at that institution who shared a love of music. Sinfonia became a national fraternity in 1900. The Alpha Zeta chapter at Penn State University was founded in 1923. Alpha Zeta is perhaps best known for their male a cappella group, The Dreamers. The Dreamers were formed in 1989 with a repertoire of doo-wop hits.
