The University of Georgia School of Law commissioned the Dean Rusk Hall to honor former U.S. Secretary of State and long-time UGA faculty member, Dean Rusk. Rusk taught in the Law School for twenty-five years and was a catalyst for the school's international law program. The 40,000 square foot structure was completed in 1996 and houses the Dean Rusk Center, which coordinates the law school's graduate legal studies (LL.M.), study abroad, and global internship programs, and produces several conferences and lectures each year on a variety of pressing international law and policy issues.
