Howard, Kendrick R.

Kendrick R. Howard, of Windsor, Vermont, enlisted as a private in Co. K, 4th Vermont Volunteer Infantry Regiment on September 7, 1861. He was promoted to corporal on February 13, 1863, and to sergeant on May 10, 1864. He was taken prisoner June 23, 1864, at Weldon Railroad on the outskirts of Petersburg, Virginia. He was paroled on November 19, 1864, and mustered out of service February 3, 1865.
