Gage, Frances Cousens, 1863-1917.
Frances C. Gage was born in Maine, the daughter of George M. and Elizabeth Gage. Her father was an educator who was in charge of the state normal school in Mankato from 1868 to 1872, following which he was superintendent of the St. Paul city schools for two years. The family moved to Portland, Oregon in 1900.
