Major Beverley R. Kennon, a member of the United States Army Medical Reserve Corps, worked in the fields of ophthalmology and otolaryngology during World War I. Kennon received an M.D. from the University of Virginia in 1893 and was commissioned in 1917. He served at several posts, including Camp Lee, Petersburg, Va; and Camp Hancock, Augusta, Ga. Beginning in October 1918, he was stationed at the Justice Hospital Group in Toul, France.
