Frederic Vincent Malek (b. 1936) was a finance company executive and governmental official. He was Deputy Under Secretary for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare from 1969 to 1970, and from 1970 to 1973 he was Special Assistant to the President for Personnel. As Special Assistant to President Nixon, he recruited and evaluated candidates for Presidential and other high-level appointed positions. From 1973 to 1975 he was Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and from 1991 to 1992 he was campaign manager for the Bush-Quayle presidential campaign.
