Reginald Biscoe was born in Courtenay on 17 May 1920. Prior to his enlistment for active service, Biscoe was employed as a bank-teller. Before joining the Canadian Scottish Regiment's 1st Battalion in September 1940, Biscoe had served from 1936 to 1938 with the 2nd Battalion. During World War Two he served as a Sergeant in the 1st Battalion with the Head-Quarter's intelligence branch. Sergeant Biscoe returned home safely in 1945 and re-entered civilian life as a bank-teller.
