Hide Profile

On Sunday, March 25, 1990, the Boston College Music Department and Irish Studies Program co-sponsored a gathering of sixteen Irish-American traditional fiddle players. Festival director and visiting professor Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin helped bring together many of the nation's finest traditional fiddle players, providing the opportunity to seisiún with other master musicians, reuniting old musical acquaintances and creating new ones. Following informal seisiúns, the festival culminated in a concert featuring sixteen master fiddle players in various combinations.
