Hide Profile

The America First Committee was founded in the summer of 1940 as an "anti-interventionist" organization opposed to President Franklin Roosevelt's foreign policy decisions leading up to U.S. entry into World War II. The committee espoused isolationism, argued for increased spending for U.S. domestic defense, and opposed U.S. entry into World War II.
