Insurance salesman and World War II veteran, of Blytheville, Ark.

Guy L. Rodgers graduated for Blytheville High School in 1940. In 1942 he joined the U.S. Army. He was sent to Camp Joseph T. Robinson in Little Rock, Ark., where he stayed for only a short time before being reassigned to Camp Lee, Va., and then to Camp Butner, N.C., where he trained as a Quartermaster replacement. In 1943 he was sent to Atlanta, Ga., and then to the Red River Ordnance Depot at Texarkana, Tex., for his basic training. Following his training, he was shipped to England. After the war he returned home to Blytheville, attended Arkansas State College for a short time, and eventually settled down to sell insurance. He died in Blytheville in 1986.
