Arnold Mining Company

The Arnold Mining Company was incorporated in 1864 in Michigan. Its mine office was in Copper Falls, Michigan and its property consisted of 3,323 acres, including the Old Copper Falls mine and the Arnold mine with about 3 miles of frontage on Lake Superior. The Copper Falls mine was worked from 1850 until 1893 while the Arnold mine proper was opened in 1863, reopened in 1897, and closed in 1901. The Arnold Mining Company was consolidated with the Copper Falls Mining Company in January, 1898.
