John Renwick (1770-1836) was the son of the Rev. John Renwick (d. 1775) who left Ireland and settled near king's Creek in Newberry County, South Carolina He married Jane Bothwell, a native of Ireland and widow of David Bothwell. John Renwick was a Presbyterian minister. Ebenezer Bothwell was the son of Jane Renwick by her first marriage; William W. (b. 1811) and Rosannah Renwick were children of her second marriage.
