The Cincinnati Union Terminal Company was formed in 1923 as the corporate representative of seven railroad systems and was incorporated on November 12, 1927. The company was created to plan a single railroad terminal that would serve all of the railway needs of Cincinnati. The company was responsible for the site selection, design, construction and operation of the terminal. Construction on Union Terminal was begun in August 1929 and completed in March 1933. The company dissolved on December 10, 1981.
