Wason, Charles William, 1854-1918

Charles W. Wason studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University from 1872-1876 and was involved in the Cornell Boat Club and Navy. After leaving Cornell in 1876 he became an electrical engineer and later became prominent in the railroad industry. He donated the Wason Chinese Library, a collection of 9,000 volumes, to Cornell when he died in 1918.
