Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission

Mission was organized from the South American Mission as the Argentine Mission, 14 August 1935. Its name was changed to the Argentina South Mission, 10 January 1970, and to the Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission, 20 June 1974. Missionary work was begun in Uruguay in 1940s under the auspices of the Argentine Mission, and Uruguay remained part of that mission until the Uruguayan Mission was organized, 31 August 1947. Missionary work was begun in Chile in July 1956 under the auspices of the Argentine Mission, and Chile remained part of that mission until the Andes Mission was organized, 1 November 1959.
