Wilhelm A. Wolny came to the United States after WWII. He and his wife moved first to Detroit, Michigan, where Wolny was active in the Polish theater "Rozmaitości" and other cultural activities. The Wolnys then moved to San Francisco, California, where Wilhelm continued to be active in the Polish American community. He was elected president of the Polish National Alliance Council #4, served as a delegrate of Polish American Congress Lodge 7 (Daly City, Calif.), participated in the Ignacy Paderewski Club, and was a member of the Polish American Congress, California Division.
