Smith, David Jonathan, 1977-
Smith grew up in Orem, Utah. His father was Caucasian and his mother Chinese. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1997 to 1999 in Tokyo, Japan. He spoke Japanese, French, English and a little Cantonese. He tripled majored in English, Japanese and Humanities at Brigham Young University.
