Hays, Alice N.
Biographical/Historical Sketch
Alice Newman Hays earned her AB in English at Stanford University in 1896 and her librarian's degree at the New York State Library School. She returned to Stanford in 1901 to begin her long career in the University Library, retiring in 1940 when she was chief of the Reference Division.
