Mitchell, Palmyre de Chateaudun, d. 1968.
Palmyre de Chateaudun Mitchell began her career at the New York Botanical Garden as a Museum Aide, working in the herbarium sorting and filing specimens. An amateur botanist and linguist, she was promoted to Associate Curator in 1925. She left in 1932. In 1968 she died at her daughter's home in Memphis, TN.
