Corporal Lloyd L. Click was inducted into the Army 4 November 1943 at Camp Walters, Texas. He was sent to Fort Sill, Oklahoma and the Field Artillery School for training as a forward observer (FO). He was then sent to Liverpool, England via Camp Shanks, New Jersey. Once in England he was assigned FO, Battery B, 320th Glider Field Artillery Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division. On 18 September 1944, he participated in Operation Market Garden, which was the liberation of Holland. He saw action in the Battle of the Bulge and helped liberate the concentration camp at Ludwigslust, Germany. He was returned to the States and discharged 5 November 1945.
