The Division of Marine Resources, under the Dept. of Natural Resources, was created in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws). The Division preserves, manages, regulates, and protects the coastal and marine resources of Florida. The Division also provides research information in order to aid in the formulation of coastal and marine resource management policies.
