Ramsay, David, 1795-1826.
Son of Dr. David Ramsay (1749-1815), physician, historian, South Carolina state Representative and Senator, and U.S. Continental Congressman. Dr. David Ramsay's "Universal History Americanised," was published after his death to benefit his impoverished heirs. Robert Y. Hayne was the executor of Dr. Ramsay's estate.
