Lorence, John.
Painter; Edgecomb, Maine. Student 1951-1953 and close friend of painter, graphic artist and teacher Carl Nelson.
Nelson was born in Sweden; studied at the Art Students League, N.Y., with Kimon Nicolaides. In 1964, Lorence bought a house near Nelson's in Maine. Nelson died Aug. 6, 1988 in Elmhurst, Ill.
