From 1974 until his retirement in 2003, Weiner taught and served as Composer-in-Residence at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, formerly Corpus Christi State University. Having written more than 160 and published over 50 compositions, Weiner received the American Bandmasters Association’s Ostwald Award for his Daedalic Symphony (1967) and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
