Reid, Edward F., fl. 1850-1888.

Reid was apparently born at Kinross, Scotland. In 1862 he enlisted in Company E, 3rd Indiana Cavalry. In 1864 he joined the 13th Indiana Cavalry, where he apparently did undercover work behind Confederate lines. Reid was mustered out as a captain. He later lived in Wooster, Ohio, and taught at Iberia College. In 1888 he was living in Monmouth, Illinois.
