Columbia Jazz Club (Columbia, S.C.).
Founded in 1958, by original officers: Charles S. Cadieu, Bertie Jo Clelland, Charles N. ("Bill") Curry, Ambrose G. Hampton, Ann Hampton, Francis H. ("Bud") Hutto, Robert Livingston, and Ronald T. Toler. Monthly meetings were held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Marion Street; the group sponsored the annual Carolina Summer Jazz Festival, held on July 4th, beginning in 1960.
