Henley, John W. (John Woodson).
Henley was born in Ga. He arrived in Jefferson Co., Ala., with his parents in 1816. In 1842 he served in the Alabama Legislature from Marengo Co., having previously moved to Demopolis. He married Evelina T. Harwell, who was a native of Clarke Co., Ala., and they had a son, Albert T., who became a prominent physician in both Hale Co. and Birmingham, Ala.
