Thomas Falconer (1772-1839), classical scholar and preacher. His son, Thomas Falconer (1805-1887), barrister and English politician, was a member of the Texas-Santa Fe expedition of 1841-42. The younger Falconer traveled for two years in North America before being appointed arbitrator on behalf of Canada to determine the boundaries between Canada and New Brunswick in 1850. He was judge of the county courts of Glamorganshire and Breconshire and of the district of Rhayader in Radnorshire, Wales, 1851-1881. Henrietta, his sister, married John Arthur Roebuck, an English politician, in 1834. J. P. E. Falconer was a mineral enthusiast and rock collector.
