The Minnesota Public School Facilities Survey was a two-year study of the schools of Minnesota directed toward developing a long-range program of school building construction and rehabilitation. It was funded partly by the government under the terms of P.L. 815, 81st Congress, and by a special appropriation of the 1951 Minnesota legislature. Phase I was an inventory of existing conditions; and Phase II, the development of a recommended program of school plant construction. The survey was conducted by the Minnesota Department of Education and the Bureau of Field Studies and Surveys of the College of Education, University of Minnesota, and reported to the U. S. Office of Education.
