Shipton, James Ancil, 1867-1926
Variant namesJames Ancil Shipton (b. Mar. 10, 1867, Ohio-d. Feb. 15, 1926) graduated from the U.S. Military Academy and received his commission in the 4th Artillery in June 1892. He advanced to brigadier general on August 5, 1917. He retired from Army service on February 20, 1920.
