Methodist Episcopal Church, South. South Georgia Conference
Variant namesThe Georgia Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church was established in 1830 in Macon (Ga.). In 1844, a major division occurred in the General Conference and the Methodist Episcopal Church, South was formed. The Georgia Conference split in 1866, forming the North and South Georgia Conferences.
