Bertram Cowgill Harrison (b. 1917, Philadelphia, Pa.), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1938 and earned his pilot wings the following year. After training on B-24s, he led a group to the China-Burma-India Theater of World War II, and later in the War served as deputy commander of the 460th Bomb Group (Mediterranean Theater) and the 55th Bomb Wing. Following the War, he was assigned as commander, Munich Air Base; as commander, 60th Troop Carrier Group; and as leader of the initial group to participate in the Berlin airlift. For seven years beginning in 1950, he served with the Strategic Air Command. In 1968 he became commander, Sixth Allied Tactical Air Force in Turkey. He retired from Air Force service in 1969.
