Dick Van Dyke (b. 1925) was born in West Plains, Missouri and grew up in Danville, Illinois. He was an Emmy-Award winning American actor of film, stage and screen. A comedian and a dancer, he was known for his starring roles in the movies "Mary Poppins" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and in the television shows "The Dick Van Dyke show" and "Diagnosis: Murder."
