Biography
Albert A. Izmirian (1921-2009) was born in Los Angeles and received a marketing degree from UCLA. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions but joined the Navy at the outbreak of World War II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. He played professional football for the Los Angeles Bulldogs until 1947, when he became a real estate appraiser for the city of Los Angeles. He eventually became Assistant Chief Appraiser of Los Angeles County, and from 1967-1974 worked as State Inheritance Tax Appraiser.
