Jesuit educator and historian.

Dunigan was a graduate of Boston College who earned a Ph. D. in Education from Fordham University in 1945. He was chairman of the Dept. of Education at Boston College from 1939 to 1948 and director of counseling and professor of education at the College of the Holy Cross from 1950 to his death in 1961. Dunigan wrote the first book-length history of Boston College.
