American biologist educated at UCLA and UCSD. Enright came to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 1957 as a Research Assistant, and joined the Zoology faculty at UCLA in 1963. He was appointed Assistant Professor at UCSD/SIO in 1966, became an Associate Professor in 1968, and a full professor in 1974. He retired from UCSD/SIO in 2000.
