Lady Mary Knutsford

Lady Mary Ashburnham was born in 1859, the youngest daughter of Bertram Ashburnham, fourth Earl of Ashburnham. In 1883, she married Sydney George Holland, the hospital administrator and reformer, and they had two daughters. The family lived at Kneesworth Hall, near Royston, Hertfordshire. In 1914, Holland succeeded his father as third baronet and second Viscount Knutsford. Viscountess Knutsford was widowed in 1931 and she died in 1947.
